  2. Download the Dolby XP app: Available on the App Store, Google Play, and for Safari browser on Mac at https://experience.dolby.com.

  3. Create Your Account: Select “I’m New”. For Apple TV, first create your account here.

  4. Redeem Your VIP Code: On the home screen, select “Redeem VIP Code” and enter your VIP code (MBGTE) to unlock your demo room.

A vehicle requires a MBUX 2 head unit or newer (MB internal: NTG7), Burmester 3D surround sound system or 4D surround sound system (Code 810 or 811) and head unit software E329.5 (NTG7 FUP3-opt-b).

  • MBUX 3 and MB.OS: 
    • Tidal, Amazon Music (Unlimited), Audible
    • CarPlay: AppleMusic, Netflix (Unlimited), AppleTV+, Audible with head unit software E352.0 (i2 FUP3.1 opt-2) or newer. On MB.OS everything is enabled from the beginning.

A vehicle requires an MBUX 2 head unit or newer, Burmester surround sound system and head unit software E329.5 or newer.

What do consumers need in order to experience Dolby Atmos in a Mercedes-Benz?

  • Vehicle requires a MBUX 2nd-generation head unit or newer, Burmester sound system, and head-unit software E329.XX.

How do consumers play Dolby Atmos content in Mercedes-Benz vehicles?
  • MBUX 2
      • Within “Media” select “Online Music” then follow the instructions to sign into your Apple Music or Amazon Music account.
      • To make sure you’re playing Dolby Atmos content, tap the Settings gear icon within Online Music, then scroll down to Music Services, and make sure “Dolby Atmos” is toggled on.
  • MBUX 3 and MB.OS
      • Amazon Music, Netflix: Check your subscription for an unlimited option to enable Dolby Atmos support.
      • Download the mentioned Apps from MB Store if not available
      • Amazon Music: Check the Dolby Atmos toggle in the settings of the installed Amazon Music app within the OS of your vehicle.
      • CarPlay: Check Dolby Atmos settings for Apple Music within the app settings on your iPhone for automatic or always setting and connect your phone via CarPlay app on the vehicle.
