French exhibitor CGR x Dolby Atmos

A case study with CGR Cinémas was conducted to show how the group uses Dolby Atmos to elevate and differentiate the cinema experience. Since 2015, CGR has progressively equipped its theatres with immersive spatial audio to offer a level of engagement that home entertainment cannot match. The results are clear: 94% of spectators report greater immersion, more than 90 theatres now feature Dolby Atmos, and ICE premium rooms show occupancy rates 1.7× higher. Dolby Atmos has become a strategic lever for CGR, helping attract audiences, enhance the experience, and reinforce long-term loyalty.

Mercedes-Benz goes Dolby Cinema

The Dolby Cinema® at Cineplexx Salzburg set the stage for the 2025 Mercedes-Benz Global Training Event, hosting 150 trainers on-site and connecting with 14,000 participants worldwide. The venue created an ideal environment to demonstrate how Dolby Atmos® enhances clarity, presence, and engagement; key elements when communicating complex information at scale.

Throughout the event, attendees experienced sound with multidimensional detail, giving them a deeper sense of space and intention behind each audio element. This level of immersion helped reinforce key training concepts and showed how thoughtful sound design can support more effective learning.

The program also marked an important moment in bringing Dolby Atmos to the automotive world, as the technology is now available across the entire Mercedes-Benz fleet. By linking state-of-the-art cinema presentation with in-car audio innovation, the event highlighted how immersive sound can elevate experiences both inside and outside the vehicle.

For partners, the collaboration demonstrated Dolby’s ability to deliver impactful, audience-centered experiences; helping brands communicate, teach, and inspire with greater resonance.
